"PLEASE, PUT YOURSELF IN MY SHOES FOR JUST A MINUTE, OR TWO"

After you have clicked on the faces on your left and listened to these, Stars, and understand who they are, please allow me to share my story with you.

I clearly remember what I was doing back in, January 1973! I was alone at a friend’s house watch television. All of a sudden, Aloha from Hawaii came on. All of a sudden the drummer, (Ronnie Tutt), started whaling on his drums, and then Elvis hit the stage. I found out at that very moment, why they called him the KING! When it came to Rock & Roll music, he really was the king. As you recall, Charlie and the seniors had headed to Terrace B.C. to play our first gig after becoming a, "Big Country Productions Band", with Les Vogt as our Manager. I believe we played a few more gigs before we got back into the Vancouver B.C. area! Having a couple nights off, we decided to go to the Cave, (Night Club), also in Vancouver B.C, we decided to catch the show of a young man by the name of, Morris Bates, who was doing an "Elvis" Impersonation. Of course the real Elvis had already blown my mind on T.V so, what could this guy possibly do to keep up with that? The Backup Band and Singers walked on to the stage and started the, "Space Odyssey" opening theme and at its finish, the drums started pounding, out went the lights, and beautiful, soft white and pink strobe light came and it immediately transformed the stage into the look of an old movie theme. Out walked "Morris Bates" in all his Elvis garb and for the next hour or so, you could swear that you were looking at the real Elvis Presley. I remember, I was totally flabbergasted by that whole experience. There were many people who went on to do, "Elvis Tributes", including me, but none ever as good as the one and only, Morris Bates!

As Charlie and the seniors went on, many other great people played the same Booking Circuit we were often on. It was nothing to be playing, and find out Later that, (Buddy Knox), or Teen Angel and the rockin Rebels were playing down the street from us. How Blessed we really were to be a part of such a wonderful time in history. I myself believe, that only God, makes such situations possible.

Hopefully you have clicked on, Brian Hyland's pictures on your right! It was until Charlie and the seniors got booked into a place called, Eddie's Hayloft, in Anchorage Alaska that another famous face graced us with his Presence. We had at least a 200 song list going for us. Mostly 1950's & 1960's Rock & Roll. While playing at Eddie's Hayloft one evening, a tall, nicely dressed you man approached us and wanted to know if he could sit in with us and sing a few songs. Sure, we never had a problem letting some people do just that. The nicely dressed you man turned out to be, "Brian Hyland", known for his 2 big hits, Yellow Polka dot Bikini, and Sealed with a kiss. Once again, we were Blessed. During our six Month duration in Anchorage Alaska, Brian came in and sang with on stage at Eddie's, and in turn we used to go over to Brian’s house and have Bar B.Q.'s, a few beers, and talk about idea's and of course, Music. What a Magical time in life these experiences really were!!!

I started playing the Drums at 11 years old. At about 14 years old, I went on to learn Rhythm, and Lead Guitar, and I also picked up a few chords on the Piano. At age 12, I fell in love with the, "Beach Boy's" sound. I started following each of their vocal tracks on records,(one at a time), and that is how I learned to sing Lead, and Backup Harmonies. I was also blessed enough to have gotten to see many Concert's on the revolving stage at the Seattle Center Coliseum. I think I saw just about every band that came out of the 1960's, and even some out of the 1950's. I went on to see a lot more after that, and clear up to date these days. Obviously, I love Music and always will. I will always appreciate these gift's and Talent's given me by God, and I always will!

To date, I myself have written 59 "Original" songs. No one has picked any of them up, but I always remain hopeful! Here is a Link to all 59 songs on Youtube. I hope you enjoy them.
